Patricia speaks with us about making time for herself in the morning, family names, and why she chose Brookwood Baptist.
A: Development at Ronald McDonald House; running, reading, trying new recipes, traveling.
Q: What was your first thought when you discovered you were pregnant?
A: Even though millions of people have babies everyday, I couldn’t believe God chose me to be someone’s mother. Then I thought, how do you prepare to be a mother!?
Q: What did you decide to name your baby? Is there a story behind it?
A: Hollaway Collier Craft. Hollaway is a family last name, I adore family names and honoring those we love.
Q: Who is your doctor, and what made you decide to have your baby at Brookwood Baptist?
A: Ashley Tamucci. I’ve always heard really great things about their services, as well as the new facility and many of my friends go to Dr. Tamucci and like her a lot.
Q: What has made you feel beautiful during your pregnancy?
A: Thinking about my new little buddy in my belly and watching him move and grow gives me the most amazing feeling. I also actually like how people react to me being pregnant, most people complain about the comments but it’s fun to me.
Q: What has been your guilty pleasure during pregnancy?
A: Sweets! It started with cake in the beginning of the 2nd trimester, then Oreos and now milkshakes. I’m really taking advantage but I work out a lot and try to get the good nutrients too to balance it out. :)
Q: What do you think you’ll miss most about your “pre baby” days?
A: Sleeping late, free time, deciding what to do and eat and when to do it all on a whim, the ease of doing everything!
Q: One lesson your parents taught you that you want to pass on to your children?
A: The golden rule, simple respectful manners like sir, ma’am, please and thank you, and go to Church!
Q: What’s the last book, magazine or blog you read?
Q: What’s your favorite date night spot?
A: Spring, summer and fall cookouts on our deck at home. Or the bar at Chez FonFon is always fun.
Q: How do you make time for yourself?
A: In the mornings after my runs, I have 30 mins to myself for breakfast and quiet time in our sunroom, it’s heaven on Earth.
